UGEC is committed to developing an initial 100MW of solar power to meet the United Kingdoms need for both the security and provision of clean energy. Our first project is the Richborough Solar Array where permission has been granted for the first phase of 30MW with phase 2 for a further 30MW to follow. Negotiations are in hand for a further 20/25MW of solar power at a site in the North West where a grid connection has been agreed.

With the ever-increasing generation of renewables, solar and wind, energy storage is required for the periods when renewable generation exceeds demand. UGEC has entered into a collaboration agreement to develop circa 700MW of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) due for connection 2027.
